The long wait is over and So You Think You Can Dance Season 9 is finally back on Fox. It’s always far too long to wait almost a year for the show to return, but it’s back and tonight was the premiere show for SYTYCD 2012.

SYTYCD 2011 LA Audition Music and Discussion – Adam Shankman Out as Permanent Judge

What did you think about last night’s SYTYCD 2011 LA auditions? The theme on the @puresytycd twitter account was that LA brought some of the best dance we’ve seen. One person described it as LA reminding her of why she loves SYTYCD so much.

Now for the SYTYCD Season 8 LA audition music list. Some amazing music considering that there was such a variety of dance styles. That’s the beauty of the SYTYCD music.

So You Think You Can Dance 2011 SLC and NY Auditions

SYTYCD is back in full swing with a 2 hour show tonight and another hour episode tomorrow. Woot!!

SYTYCD 2011 Premiere is HERE!!

Woot!! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the SYTYCD 2011 premiere which is finally here. It’s been far too long of a break for me between SYTYCD 2010 to SYTYCD 2011. However, the wait is over. As you can see, this SYTYCD blog went on a little bit of a break during the off season, but we’re back again to link you to all the best So You Think You Can Dance 2011 content. Season 8 of SYTYCD is going to be awesome.

As you know we love the SYTYCD music, so we’ll start with a link to some SYTYCD 2011 Music Predictions and Suggestions. Nice list of possible SYTYCD Season 8 music if I do say so myself. We’ll have more on the SYTYCD music later (as always).

Nigel has been saying that SYTYCD 2011 is going to be the year of the b-boy. We’ll see if that’s really the case. Hard to really compare them to Dominic though (who’s now an ABDC judge).

Dancing with the Stars Music from Premiere

Tonight was the premiere of Dancing with the Stars. While I said previously that this isn’t necessarily the most interesting cast it does seem to be one of the most well balanced casts. I don’t see any early favorite that’s just a ringer. So, it will be a fun season to watch.

As you know, we try to focus on the music from all your favorite dance TV shows. So, here’s the music from the premiere of Dancing with the Stars season 11.

Dancing with the Stars 2010 Premiere

Tonight is the premiere of Dancing with the Stars 2010. I wouldn’t say the cast is the most interesting cast I’ve ever seen, but it does have some rather big name people on the show like The Hoff, Michael Bolton and Brandy. However, the biggest name on the show might just be Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin. Word is that Sarah Palin will be at the Dancing with the Stars premiere also.

My prediction is Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough will win this season of DWTS.

Mia Michaels Wins an Emmy and More SYTYCD Music

In case you missed it, SYTYCD’s own Mia Michaels took home the Emmy this year for choreography. I was personally hoping that Chelsie Hightower or Derek Hough from DWTS would win, but Mia is a great choreographer.

Also, check out this killer list of SYTYCD music. I’m sure people are going to love finding new songs on that list.

So You Think You Can Dance Canada Season 3

Well, I’m a little behind covering So You Think You Can Dance Canada. It’s hard since they do all the auditions in basically a week of shows. I like it much better when it’s one or two audition episodes a week, but we’ll try and catch up now.

Some SYTYCD Tidbits

The show is over until SYTYCD season 8, but there’s still plenty of dance action happening with SYTYCD dancers and choreographers. Here’s a small sampling.

Drop Dead Diva featured a Tyce Diorio and some SYTYCD Alumni – This is a really entertaining video with Tyce in rare form. Kayla Radomski was nice as well.

Shane Sparks Performs on Filip Filipi’s “Boom” – I’m sure some of you had forgotten about Shane Sparks. It looks like he’s expanding into music. Interesting move.
