I’m not an expert on TV and all of the corporate decisions that are made about TV shows. I’d say I’m just interested in the internet, website marketing and watching search engine trends.
Today, I checked the TV schedule and I didn’t see the TV show Men In Trees on the schedule at all. When I checked my blog stats I found that I’d been getting tons of searches directed to my post called Rumors Abound About Men In Trees Getting Cancelled. I guess people were just like me when they wanted to watch Men In Trees and they didn’t see it on the TV schedule.
I still haven’t found anything concrete about Men In Trees canceled or not, but I did find a description of an episode of Men In Trees scheduled for Nov 10th on the Men In Trees website:

“The Menaissance”
Unbeknownst to Marin, Jane leaked an excerpt from Marin’s new book on men to The New Yorker magazine. Now Marin is forced to defend her career to Jack, the unwilling subject of her work. Meanwhile singer-songwriter Jewel stops into the Chieftain when her car breaks down, and runs into Theresa, who turns out to be her former bandmate, and Patrick’s mom, Celia and his new step-mother, Mai, go head to head in an alpha showdown for the role of “top mom.”
Does that mean that it hasn’t been canceled. Looks like we might have to wait until next week to find out for sure. I guess ABC thought that the 2 hour 20/20 special was better than Men In Trees.

That’s correct. I posted that Men In Trees was on last Friday and Men In Trees is moving to a nicer time slot after Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday.
Yes, they said after Grey’s Anatomy on Thursdays, but I don’t see it on tonight. Man, will be bummed. One of the best shows out there now. Good writing.

“New York Fiction”
In the first of a two-part story arc, emotions between Marin and Jack escalate when Marin goes home to New York during Thanksgiving week, where Jane has arranged for her to meet with various editors about publishing her new book. She is thrilled to be back in familiar surroundings but misses her life back in Elmo, particularly Jack. He is ready to make his move with her, but an unexpected twist throws a wrench in his plans, ending in a cliffhanger. Meanwhile Patrick must choose between spending Thanksgiving with Annie in New York or with his new family, and Ben hopes Theresa will help in the preparation of their annual “Orphan Thanksgiving” for Elmoians.
I saw the promo on tv last week where it announced the show being moved to thursdays from fridays. I looked for it tonight and it wasn’t there. So what’s going on?
Men in Trees is moving Thursday night at 10 starting November 30th. I read that ABC has ordered a full season, but will wait to see how it performs in the new time slot. Hopefully it will attract some of the Grey’s Anatomy crowd and stick around for awhile.
Men in Trees will now be competing with Shark. That’s not good! I’ll have to record it now because I’m not missing Shark.
Men In Trees is the best show on TV. I can’t believe ABC thought 30 year old bluppers of Barbara Walters making mistakes would be more entertainimg. Please keep Men In Trees on. The story, acting and chemistry of everyone on the show is superior.
I told my friends about Men in Trees and how great I think it is…now my firends think I am talking about snuffleupagus. I can’t find it tonight on tv which is the main reason I stayed home tonight! 10pm on a Thursday is too late if you ask me. I liked the Friday nite slot. I used to stay home and watch Miami Vice when it ran on Friday nites.
Incredible …. when I see all the garbage that is on TV … this is a superb show: very well written – great characters – tremendous caste … what do you want !!! just a great show. I just hope they are writing a few new episodes – which accounts for the break in the action.

I am so disappointed that Men In Trees is not on for the second week in a row and ABC.com does not list when the next episode is going to be. I know a lot of people that watch this show and love it including my 72 year old grandmother who stays up until 10pm to watch it. Leave it on the air. I am tired of falling in love with a show and having it not succeed. I am sick of reality shows, forensic crime shows and court shows. I just want to watch something that has great writing, keeps me intrigued and requires no thinking whatsoever. If ABC is listening please don’t cancel this show. We want Jack back!! Plus Anne Heche is back to her great self again. I am routing for Marin and Jack!
I really want to watch Men in Trees again and it hasn’t been on for soo long. It is my all time favourite show and ABC should NOT put it off the air. I think that it’s the cutest show ever and I love Jack, he’s a cutie. Please put new episodes on the air!!

I hated the show “Men in Trees” and I tried to get hooked on it, God knows I tried but it was ssssso boring to me.
I hope it gets cancelled.
I loved “October Road” and after 1 episode I’m hooked.
Where is my “Men in Trees”? I could not find anything worth on network tv until this perfect show came along—-interesting characters, amazing actors, beautiful location, good looking men and NO violence…too good to be true? I hope not. ABC needs to seek professional help if they let this one go. Things were just starting to heat up and the characters were just starting to develop.
“men in trees” in an amazing show! the character has great chemistry and the writing is really fantastic. it has been so long since i’ve craved watching a show like this! i can’t wait every week for a new MIT so i’m totally bummed that we’re going to be without while a new show tries to take its place. i refuse to give this new show a try. it would totally suck if it got better ratings and then replaced my beloved MIT. i hope everyone writes ABC and keeps MIT alive!!! it’s awesome! i’m so tired of reality shows and violent crime shows…please, ABC, wake up!!! and keep MIT going!!! it’s the best thing out there right now!!!

Men in trees was my escape for a thur evening of dull programs. Why cancel a program that lets you believe in the light heartedness of love. Give us a break made me feel good.

Just wanted to let you know that I am among the many missing Men In Trees.
I would like a personal responds from someone {who really is in a position to know}. Why do people want to watch crime, sick reality, and viewer voting shows that vote people with no talent to stay on the show while the truly talented people are voted off? That seems to be apparently what TV polls are saying to TV executives who choices these programs to be aired.
Why can’t these same executives decide to keep shows on TV that make people relax, laugh, and shed a tear over a warm moment between actors that show life as human beings that care about each other?
I don’t want you to see only $ signs, but give “something back” to those of us who would like to see shows stay on the air that viewer can watch for enjoyment.
What happened to my favorite show. When it didn’t tivo last wk, i cried. I made my husband go nuts trying to figure out when the next episode will air. What’s up. Where are you MIT? Now that there are two of the hunkiest men in one TV show; no one better mess with MIT.

Hey there—
If you are reading this, perhaps you are jonesing for a little Men In Trees. Well I am here to tell you that while we are off for a few weeks, we are far from over! We will be back on the air at the latest on April 12th in our old time slot and then we have five new episodes to show you. I will be able to give you a precise air date for our new episodes in the next two weeks…but it will be no later than that April 12th date…
They can’t cancel Men in Trees. They finally found a perfect time slot on Thurs. nights after Greys. Everyone I know looks forward to this perfect line-up. As for October Road which aired last Thurs. in the Men in Trees spot was a total bore!! Bring back that little town of Elmo. It’s a great place to escape to!
I also love Men in Trees. It is like a breathe of fresh air, so unique and quirky and endearing. The characters are interesting, the scenery is stunning, the writing is amazing, a great mix of humour (very funny lines at times) and emotional depth… What more can I say. I love it and hope it stays on for a VERY long time.

I love, love, love Men In Trees. I’ve been reading that it will be back in April, I really hope this is true. I loved the Thursday nigh line up. I was so disappointed when Grey’s moved to Thursday until I saw that Men In Trees followed it. Thursday night was the perfect spot for MIT. I’m going to give October Road a shot…but, I still want my MIT back!!!

Here I am again looking for Men in Trees on Thursday night and no go. So after all this time I think I better do a search and find out what happened to my favorite show. So much lousy TV and finally something comes along that is entertaining and so much fun to watch. I find this site and I am compelled to write, and I don’t do blogs and this is my first. I want to say I was very happy to find that it is returning April 12, or so. Thank you, Thank you, ABC. Jenny you rocked with Sex and the City, finally found out why Men in Trees sparked my interest,could it be your writing style? hummmm-Just don’t kill the Jack and Marin stuff, they are great together as is the rest of the cast.

I do hope you are right and MIT comes back. It was a great refreshing show with colorful paperback characters. The actors all mush together great and although it is edgy at times each situation has a happy ending and a message… always looks at the funny side of life and find amusement in everything. This was actually a great marketing ploy – get everyone hooked – take the show away and let them miss it good – then serve it back better then ever.
Men in Trees is a humorous, quirky show that makes me miss Canada altho it is supposed to take place in Alaska. Great show. Love it. Went to bed bummed when Jack decided to go back to his old girlfriend. Hope they are writing more episodes that keep the possibility alive that Jack and Marin will get back together. Will watch it over American Idol anyday. After all you can always see AI in the commercials of Mit! pjl
I’ve been looking for MIT, I was worry that it wouldn’t come back! Yes, I have a life, that is why it’s so refreshing to be able to watch a show that is a pleasure at the end of a work day. I look forward to seeing the next episodes.
I am so disappointed that not only am I missing Men In Trees, but other shows of fav, or re-run after re-run. I get all settled in for my favorite evenings of TV and go to bed very disappointed. I am searching for an answer whether MIT has been canceled, I pray not, it’s one of the best on the tube.
I typically am not a television watcher. I probably am one of the few Americans that has not seen an entire season of American Idol. Nevertheless, I enjoy watching Men in Trees. Ann Heche is a brilliant actor. Since I’m studying mental health therapy, have worked in radio, and am a writer, well . . . you can see. Plus, i love Ann’s wardrobe. She has the cutest stuff — girly girl all the way, just like me. Does anyone know where her clothes are from?

I hope that #50 is right about MIT being back in May. I’d rather watch cute, quirky, funny anyday over watching blood, guts and gore. We watch ABC from 6 until 11:30 PM on pretty much a regular basis starting our evening with the news and ending with the news. We were both very disappointed when Men In Trees did not air.
What a refreshing show just made me want to visit Alaska asap. We both are very busy with our careers and this is our time to enjoy, relate, and communicate. It even introduces subjects in our own rlationship that normally don’t come up but need to be addressed. We laugh, cry, argue, take sides oh, and laugh again! We love ABC and
we miss MEN IN TREES!

Unless they’ve changed plans again you’ll get one episode sometime during the summer. Then, you’ll get the rest at the beginning of Fall season.
Not only will they be finishing the current season, but they have been renewed for a second season. Have no fear.
What has happened to Men In Trees? The last seen was Jack in the middle of the sea trying to survive. Is this the last we will see of this program. It is the best TV show aon TV.

ABC has a full season of “Men in Trees” already in the bank. They withheld the last few episodes of season one while season two was being filmed before the writer’s strike so where is it, nothing on the schedule for Jan. so far.
It is almost February and Men In Trees has not returned. Does anyone know when and if it will return?

I think Men in Trees in one of the best shows that abc has produced in a long time. Not only does it have an all around wonderful cast, but it also has a good message each week. Oh, and did I mention all the HOT MEN??!?!!!?!!! Keep it on the air PLEASE!!!
