I’ve been cruising the internet to see if Men In Trees was going to be cancelled. It seems like for now there are just rumors that it is inevitable for it to be cancelled. Here’s one example of what people are saying:
“The show is stuck with a Friday time slot meaning it will likely only be weeks before it is cancelled.”
I am surprised how much I actually like Anne Heche on this show. It’s great because I don’t even think it’s Anne Heche. This image for example doesn’t remind me of the Anne Heche I’ve seen previously.
Maybe I just don’t know what Anne Heche looks like that well and Men in Trees is opening me up to Anne Heche.
Here’s another take on why Men In Trees will be cancelled:
“Unfortunately, “Men in Trees” is heading to the obscurity of Friday nights on ABC, so tonight may well be your last chance to see this promising show.”

I love this show! Please ABC if you are reading this, don’t cancel my favorite new show! All the shows this year at the same: world ending, violence, secrets, blah blah blah. this is a real show: great characters, smart dialogue, good situations. I just want to watch it every week.
I love this show. Good cast, very cute idea. Anne Heche generally annoys me. Actually she still annoys me on this show, but her character is supposed to be annoying, at least a little to mr buff lumber jack brooding guy.

I really enjoy this show, but it seems inevitable that it will get cancelled, mainly because of the death sentence of getting a friday night time slot. Switch it to sundays guys! It’s a really cute idea, and there is a lot of potential here, especially since it can be applied to such a broad demographic.

This show always makes me feel really great. By the ned of the show I always have a warm fuzzy and either a big grin on my face or tears in my eyes or both.
I know that Cindy Chupak(Sex and the City) has written for it at least once. We need more chick shows! I am soo sick of shows that have to follow one over-used formula or another… hospital drama, cop drama, forensic drama, end of the world drama…you get the idea! I don’t care if this show is compared to Northern Exposure…just because they are both in Alaska?! Whatever!
I like the dynamic between Anne’s character and the Jack guy! He is soooo hot! I have always liked Anne Heche regardless of her real-life drama…who cares, she is a good actress.
I hope this one does not get cancelled! I will have a void in my week! I hope with the recent move I heard about from Friday to Thursday, that they are trying to save the show!
Cancelling this show is the stupidist move of a network in the last 4 decades I have been watching TV.

Please do not cancel this show, I’ve been following the show from Brazil, and have really enjoyed the cast and storylines. no need to mention the fabulous scenery. It is really refreshing to find good humor without it being slapstick. And FINALLY, not a police or medical plot.
Refreshing, fun, funny, hot…. Men in Trees. I have watched every episode because I love this show. I’ve got my boyfriend watching it too. I would look forward to it on fridays and then when it switched to thursdays. I do not watch TV shows otherwise. I would get frustrated when it would not be on because of an Oprah special or 20-20. Almost as frustrating were the repeat episodes, but still, I would watch EVERY week. I was really hoping that it was going to work out. I have a few friends that were watching it too. We’ll all be disappoined if it’s cancelled.

Men In Trees is such a lighthearted, fun, spirited show. As a hard working nurse, I look so forward to my thursday nights to relax, put my feet up and watch this show… So what gives? Please do not cancel this show or alot of us women will be pissed… Thanks

All of my chick friends are hooked on the show–it is fun and a nice escape after a grueling work week–I am so bored of crime shows, and not interested in those creepy soap operas that seem to be on every night with characters who all look like supermodels and act mean and sneaky–put my men in trees back on please!

I would hate to see “Men in Trees” get cancelled. It is one of the few shows on television in which the male characters are the ones with depth and the women are the fluff. I am truely grateful to have a show that is focused on male character development.

Men in Trees is way better than October Road. It is different which makes it very interesting from orinary every day life. Dumb move if you cancel it.

Men in Trees is the greatest new program in years. So tired of medical and detective shows. They both are about death and trauma. So refreshing to enjoy a light, fun and entertaining show.

According to tvguide.com Men in Trees has been renewed for next season, they are just not sure if they are waiting for May sweeps or if they will just pick up in Fall. I’m a huge fan and came across this post looking for answers.
Why has Men in Trees not been on? I have been waiting and waiting. October Road is ok but nothing like Men in Trees. I LOVE Men in Trees! I always loved Thursday nights cause I had “Greys” and followed that with some fun & unlifting “Men in Trees”! It was a perfect night. I hate this show and the storyline. October Road is better and I hope they bring it back. Maybe ABC needs to cancel all the reality shows, which are boring and overrated, and start a new trend with TV worth watching. Men In Trees is not something that appealing to me, October Road is, but should they get cancelled…no. We need to voice our opions to ABC about changing their view points. The viewers are getting tired of shows such as Wife Swap. If you want to view the pains that people go through, try watching the news, theirs a show that will never get cancelled.
It’s just like THOSE people to decide what we like and don’t like to watch on tv. I love Men In Trees. The reality shows are stuiid. I’ve tried to watch several and never have made it through a whole episode….But, par for the course, in the last few years most all the shows that show you need a higher IQ than 80 to enjoy have been cancelled. Is Hollywood saying we are dumb??? ABC – get Men In Trees back on!!!!!!!!!
I agree with JKC has to say, should we cancel shows such as Men In Trees or October Road…NO!The viewers are tired of the same old crap, reality TV! AS I said before,Men In Trees doesn’t set with me and October Road does! I think we should ban together and pull for both shows. That way we BOTH get to watch what’s enjoyable to each other. I think it’s a noble cause. I’m pretty sure from the various Men In Trees blog posts that the network has heard that people like Men In Trees. In fact, I think they agree with your opinion and that’s why we haven’t seen Men In Trees for a while. Instead of building up Men In Trees bigger, they wanted to use the best TV spot after Grey’s Anatomy to promote October Road.
I must admit though, that I love Men In Trees, but I didn’t get in to October Road. I do however enjoy a good reality TV show. I could watch Amazing Race all day. However, that might be the travel guy in me.
If you really want to give feedback to the network then you might try ABC.com and find a place to post your interest. Although I do appreciate your passion on my blog. I hope you’ll keep coming back.

I hope that all goes well for you. While I may not support your desire, if you read through the comments on my site, there are a ton of people that agree with you and like October Road. I think you might just get your wish of having October Road on another season. Plus, posting your comment here might inspire other October Road lovers to go and tell ABC to keep it. I will have to say I’m sorry for my comments before. I don’t wish anything bad to no one, the world is full of stupid things and I don’t want any part to it. I still hope that both our dreams have a chance and that you give Road another viewing. I would feel the same way as you do. If the network had done the same thing to my show, I would dislike the other show no matter what it was.

Is anyone here that wants to speak out!!!!!!October Road is amazing and has a great opportunity to become big. I know that MIT is appealing to some, but many would like to see Road return again!!!! I know that some like the reality shows, but for me, I don’t. Explain to me what they bring to the table, that you can’t see before hand.

October Road has a cast with the likes of Laura Prepon and Tom Berenger. It’s has a home town feel, with many storylines available. ABC should bring this show back!!!!! I’m sorry if you haven’t gotten the chance to see it, you need to go to ABC.com and review it. It may be aliitle slow at first, but picks up speed at the end. Give it a chance.
I’m glad to hear that MIT will be back in the fall. I don’t watch many new shows because most of them are uninteresting to me. I loved Northern Exposure, and though MIT is a lesser-but-similar show, it’s interesting enough to keep watching.
I love this show! its quirky & unconventional! So much is “canned” now, I Really love this show!

Just so you know, this post was really old from about 1-2 years ago. I haven’t seen any updated news on if it’s going to be canceled or not. However, the fact that ABC has put it in a better time slot than Friday night is a good sign that it will probably be around. I wouldn’t swear off ABC yet. I’d also blame the writers for the crazy seasons. All of the networks have been scrambling to fill in their schedule with shows.
I am so sad to find out that my FAVORITE show is cancelled! WHY? It was not given a fair chance. The show was great and I looked forward to it every week. Enough already ABC! If it had been given a good time slot an not shoved around so much it would have survived. Great quirky characters, storylines and wonderful actors…such a shame it will be off the air.
